Textpattern as collaborative tool
This post has been edited (sorry mods!) as I hadn’t noted that some of the documentation had been updated-on sections I thought I knew-since I last read it. This is now a post of praise and no longer a How do I… which is testimony to how excellent the documentation has become over the past few years.
Fwiw, I will be making a case for textpattern to be offered by my institution.
Stellar points about textpattern:- Its design flexibility: some examples listed here.
- Its out-of-the-box functionality as digital garden with lots of options to include transclusion and backlinks. I know keywords might be removed in future updates, but I am using it to increase topic visibility on the site. There is also the option to include related articles, custom fields for things like bibliography pages, and linklists for example.
