Nice, simple online photo editor

I’ve often wished for a quick and simple photo editor with common tools that I can point non-techie clients to … and now I think I’ve found one:

edit.photo

Free, no ads, no account needed, no online saving of your images.

It’s a spinoff and demo of pintura which is the work of Rik Schennink (@rikschennink).

Unfortunately, Mozilla Firefox do not work:

WebGL not supported on this browser

I have installed qt5-webglplugin, yet with no effect. Vivaldi works fine with edit.photo on the same computer, though.

I was going to say you could let the author know on his twitter thread but I tried it first on the current Mozilla version and it worked immediately for me. Maybe it’s a specific driver/graphics card issue? A web search turns up numerous search machine topics on that…

Re: Nice, simple online photo editor

Interesting tool. For once something with an intuitive UI, and as you say, easy to use for most everybody. Output of my test image was somewhat bloated though.

(Interesting the filters and the “finetuning” resemble Photos on both iOS and macOS. The latter name was the least intuitive UI part maybe)

It worked fine on Safari and Firefox latest release, macOS 12.
