Re: rc2 and 1.0

Without replicating stuff from other threads, I think most (some or it is just me?) expect that additional code involving clean URLs and the themes engine and XML-RPC will be included. Plus, some rather long-awaited bug fixes.

Absent some or all of what Michael mentions, even 3 hours per week since September would have delivered Version 1.0 by now; or, am I missing something? I think it has been mentioned many times that RC 1 is “good enough.” If that’s the case, why not just rename it?

Testing.

Thanks to both of you. We appreciate knowing where the focus is and what the time demands might be. Each of the listed tasks is vital.

Re: rc2 and 1.0

Yeah, a lot of the recent activity with things like mt-comment.cgi exploits, made it necessary to take a really close look. From talking to Matt (wordpress) just last night, I know it’s something been delaying wordpress 1.5 from going into RC as well.

Re: rc2 and 1.0

Every feature of Txp would be near useless absent the security and anti-spam features. Again, many thanks for the update.

Re: rc2 and 1.0

This is frustrating. It would be nice if the Dean would post ANYTHING related to TXP while we wait anxiously for his graces. I, like many others, have modified my TXP quite a bit and I’m starting to wonder at what point people will start releasing their own “modified” versions and do it themselves.

i’m sure you’re busy, Dean, but now might be a nice time to chime in with a reassuring “it’s coming, it’s coming” or even an eta(?) ;-)</span>

Even a simple… “It’s gonna be another month” would be nice. Anything!

Re: rc2 and 1.0

Come on now, y’all … it will be released the second it is ready. Why the heartburn? Jason just gave an update … they’re putting it through QA to make sure it is as solid as possible.

Cheers!

ArbinShire-

“Jason” is the physical host in which the disembodied vampire “Dean” manifests.

Don’t worry – it took me a while to figure that out, too.
