Happy Birthday my one and only CMS!

By some strange time-warp, I seem to have registered on this forum before Textpattern existed! Apr 19 2004. Time does funny things to us. Textpattern had got better and faster. I’ve got older and slower. What day is it?

… as did a few of us…. there was a beta in the works for quite some time. Dean was writing Textsim and Cardigan Industries in 2001-2004 using an early beta version of a new CMS he was working on… Textpattern … which was being discussed in a number of early blogs by John Gruber and Dan Benjamin as i recall. And perhaps others as well.

aint that the truth! What a long, strange trip it’s been

Ah yes, my few kilobytes stick of memory didn’t hold on to that history. And I can’t recall ever hearing that Grateful Dead track before, so thanks for the news, bici! Mighty fine song.

For some reason, this song sprang to mind – Simple Life

Thanks for sharing that song. I was not familiar with it or the singer. Will see about purchasing an album on iTunes
