Thank you for all the hard (and excellent) work to everyone who is involved. TXP still is a CMS, that shines with it’s “no BS but all the flexibility you need” attitude.

Re: Feedback to: Textpattern CMS 4.8.0 Released

Big thanks again from me to everyone for this long-awaited major milestone!

BTW: I added a new 4.8.0 ‘branch’ to rpc.textpattern.com so that the new version should show in people’s diagnosis panels (hopefully).

Re: Feedback to: Textpattern CMS 4.8.0 Released

The update of the old site was a breeze. The new site had a learning curve which I really enjoyed.

Many many many thanks to the devs who brought txp so far. This could have been a v5!

I was thinking about the significance of February 25th when I realized I made my forum account on 2004-02-24 – 16 years ago yesterday.

It is now old enough to drive.

Re: Feedback to: Textpattern CMS 4.8.0 Released

Am I crazy or is <txp:variable /> no longer global?

I have a fresh install and <txp:variable /> will work on page that it is initiated but won’t work on a different page.

It’s me, right?

Could you tell us more about how you use it? Maybe post your snippet here?

It’s never been global, has it? You need to ‘include’ your variable definition on every page in which it’s used. If I need a set variable, I add it then in a Form and use <txp:output_form /> to include it where I need it.

Unless I’ve misunderstood your question.
