Does Donald Swain have a friend now?
Since the beginning we had one of the most notorious and persistent spammers who ever lived, Donald Swain. Sadly we never found out the inspiration for this, but he is nevertheless part of our mythology. Although it may have been there for some time I have just noticed it. Are we introducing a new character? Who is Parkling?

Never heard of Parkling. Perhaps we should update those examples to use good old Donald so he doesn’t feel sidelined.

Rick Silletti worked at Yellowstone Park and afair was Parkling somewhere in the TXP universe.

Interesting, I haven’t used that handle since I left Yellowstone 5 or more years ago? Probably found its way into the docs as part of a tag example for my authors_credits plugin.

Not a problem Stef, I appreciate the thought. It was part of a domain/user name setup for Yellowstone related blogs, TXP of course. I don’t spend much time on the internet these days, but I do keep up on the beautiful work that has been going on with Textpattern in recent years. Thanks to you, and the those that are working and contributing!

I’m the one who needs to apologise as I’m the first who commented on it. The truth is that I would actually like us to extend the txp mythological figures. We already know Donald as the comment spammer, we could have another name as an author.
