Data transfer project
Google’s Data transfer project sounded OK but it seems that it will be mostly for the usual suspects.
We provide a common framework and ecosystem to accept contributions from service providers to enable seamless transfer of data into and out of their service. (source: github.com/google/data-transfer-project, emphasis mine).
Interestingly Mastodon boarded the wagon.
