Article not showing up

I’ve got a new article, everything (except the actual text in the content area) appears to be the same as the default one that was already posted live with the install. But the article is not showing up on http://host/index.php?s=articles

I can view it (not preview, but really view) from the edit page, and land at http://host/index.php?id=2

I’ve got both posts open in side by side windows. I can’t see anything different. The Articles section is showing that there are two posts in it.

Re: Article not showing up

What is the Status of the article? Articles are only visible from the front end if they are Live (or ‘sticky’).

Re: Article not showing up

I haven’t made any changes to any code whatsoever, so however TextPattern shows things by default, that’s what’s going on.

As far as the status, both (the one that’s already there on a new install and my new one) are “Live.”

Re: Article not showing up

Hmm, a bit clueless then. Can you turn on ‘debugging’ mode (Admin > Preferences > Site: Production status) ?

Re: Article not showing up

That was the issue. Does testing mode only only show stuff with an id of 1 ?

I’m certain there’s no such excption. Maybe a cacheing issue?

Re: Article not showing up

No. Testing mode should show everything. Does further toggling between the various modes changes what gets displayed?

Also, in debug mode, did you see any error reporting or warnings?

Re: Article not showing up

Weird. Now that I’m switching back and forth between testing/live/debugging I’m seeing the article. This is even after a Ctrl Shift R in Firefox (which I was also running when I COULDN’T see my newer article)

Just weird.
