English (American) is not displaying correctly in 4.7-dev

After a bit of testing, English, English (British), Español and Français all display correctly when User Language is set to them.

English (American) does not. You end up getting tab_content, tab_list, etc.

Re: English (American) is not displaying correctly in 4.7-dev

Hm, I can’t reproduce that on www.textpattern.co/demo
I thought maybe I’d have to leave the user language at the one I’m about to delete (Standard English, i.e. en, is default there), so perhaps that would make TXP load gTxt strings instead, but the user language switches automatically over to en-us as soon as I delete default en.

Can you list the required steps, please?

I just tried on a different installation and I can’t reproduce it either.

That particular site is over a decade old so maybe it has something weird going on in the database or something.

Michael, did you already find out something about this issue? There’s a new topic whose side-problem is gTxt strings. Thanks.
