is this a new type of referrer spam?
I get a lot of spam referrers since the end of last year which do not point to unknown sites. Some of them point to a few of the urls listed in our forum most of which do not link to us but they mention a copyright case we fought against and won a year and a half ago. Furthermore I get referrer spam pointing to the BBC, CNN, other major news sites and even from .gov and .ac urls.
Did anybody notice any such strange activities in your logs?
What I do not understand is why would anyone spoof the referrer url!
