Hi alivato,
Did you check the .org site?

Re: Plugin - article stars rating
I entered “stars rating plugin” in the forum search box and got links for two:
- yab_review_rating
- jmd_rate
Both described as stars rating plugins for articles. I don’t know the status of them, however.

There’s also cbe_helpful, which works fine with the current txp release.

When I activate the plugin cbe_helpful, it is deactivated again…

Whoops!? I never heard of such a thing before (and could activate mine on a 100+ plugins sandbox installation without any problem). If you want to stay with that plugin, try a) deactivating all other plugins. If this doesn’t help, b) report in the thread jakob linked to.
And there’s yet c) to try: yab_review_rating, which Destry mentioned and that describes itself as “A comment based rating system for articles”, so very similar positioned to the cbe_ plugin.
Oh, and d) comes to mind then: peg_nested_comments, actively maintained by Oleg/etc.
Options, options, options, options!

Not officially released yet I think but there is also this plugin by Oleg (etc).
It was an “on demand” plugin, but since I had no much feedback after the release, the development has stopped. Should work, at least the tests seem ok, but it’s my own version merged with peg_nested_comments
. If needed, I can send it to any volunteer, but he will get threaded comments too.

Do you also have rah_external_output
installed? That’s a prerequisite.
rah_external_output v1.0 minimum must be installed and active otherwise cbe_helpful won’t be activated and you will receive a message stating that you have to install/activate rah_external_output

I used cbe_helpful as a kind of like button rather than a star rating. Not sure if it does “on a scale of 1 to x” ratings. It doesn’t need comments at all.

Thank you, it was the rah_external_output
Questions about plug cbe_helpful
<txp:cbe_helpful label="">
<txp:cbe_helpful_yes class="green" /> /
<txp:cbe_helpful_no class="red" />
</txp:cbe_helpful>
Is it possible to do so:

Re: Plugin - article stars rating
alivato, only to specify the required information (I’m the wrong person to definitely answer): How do you mean your question:
a) Display no number if it’s a zero?
or
b) Have a total sum in the middle and the two buttons around it?
I guess neither is comprised in the plugin’s current state, and at least the latter required a new menu item in the rate unit chooser (plugin preferences). Hence I’d assume you better post in the plugin’s topic in order to get Claire’s opinion (she’s the plugin author).

Thanks for the answer. I mean …
b) Have a total sum in the middle and the two buttons around it.
With regard to branches of the author plugin also write message.
