my hiking web site
My relatives aren’t too keen on my taking up hiking, but here is my web site:
One trailhead visited, a number of comments about gear, the online company’s web sites needing better search engines, a search for hiking clubs. I intend on taking lots of photos once I start hiking. My digital camera should be able to supply lots of photos. Only 12 photos so far of one trailhead and part way up that trail.

A total of 57 photos on the site now. We drove to two places, one a state park and one a trail, and took photos. No hiking yet.

Hey Jim,
Nice photos, I go biking a lot, need to take some pics.
May I make a suggestion, on your main page, the default Page, you have a copyright on the top, which you could move down to where the Publised by Textpattern is. And I think the copyright line is causing issues with site rendering, because when you view Articles, that’s when the archive page takes over, it looks fine.
Glad to see you using Textpattern, keep posting pics.

Well, the problem I have are people who copy pictures off my sites, put them on their sites, and then claim the items belong to them. I took the h5 off and just bolded the line.
There is a mountain biking trail at Cheaha State Park.

All you can do is put a watermark on the pictures.

I would worry about the watermark being removed.

I think the dirty windshield watermark is quite effective and hard to remove ;)

Jim, look at this copy image protect tip by etc.
It can add some protection (at least against lazy or unskilled people).

Yeah, I had a difficult time getting the windshield crud off the photos as well.
Where would I put the php on etc’s site ? Pages, each page ?, in a form ? I have little knowledge on php.

Added a partial hike of the Cave Creek Trail just south of Cheaha to the site. I thought I had walked 3 miles and then walked back to the car… it was only one and a half miles. Finding out that topographic maps haven’t been updated for decades by the US Geodetic Survey was a shock. But there are volunteer projects to make overlays to the old maps so the trails can be found and reduce the chances of people being lost.

Linking from the links here doesn’t work for some reason, but I can go to my sites listed on this forum just fine.
