It was a code hack of FluxBB (basically, plugins in FluxBB are not really plugins, but modifications to the core code). This made updates to newer versions of FluxBB extremely difficult, so the decision was made to remove all hacks from our install.
FluxBB v2 is targeted to have proper plugin support, so we’ll see. Maybe it’ll return one day in some form.

You mean that stuff that used to be at the bottom of forum? I’m probably in the minority, but I was surprised and pleased when that was gone. Just unnecessary UI distraction to me. It’s that kind of little change, and there was a few of them to the UI, that make your redesign, Phil, one of the nicest custom BB implementations I’ve seen.
If it ever does return as a plugin, hopefully they’ll make UI stuff like that personalized; hide/show preferences per account, or whatever.
