Unreal. Can’t say I’ve ever seen that, so I guess I’m not as much of a ninja as you :-)

Re: Irony - Spam Reporting hindered by Spam protection

I have spent much of my life aspiring to the title of “Ninja Spam Reporter”. :P

It’s my bad habit of using multiple tabs.

Open three spam posts in three tabs. Click report, working across the three tabs in rapid succession (Spam Reporting Ninjas never waste the time while the report link is loading). Return to the first tab and again in quick succession move through the tabs typing spam and clicking post. Result: first one sends message. Next two notifies you that you must have 60 seconds between posts.

No big deal. Just thought it ironic. :)

There was an one minute interval between reports set by fluxBb which I have now changed it to 10 seconds. Not quite ninja time but it is more logical:)

Likely a policy difference for members and admins.

Edit: if it’s no longer an issue after colak’s fix, then great – otherwise, how about a janitor-esque role for established members who are quick to report spam?

I guess this is what I did. the forum has members (who are verified non spammers) and “new members”. What I did was to reduce the time between reports for members so that everybody can report. The reason I did not make the time even shorter than that is because I’m not sure how fluxBB will respond to a flood of reports.

Re: Irony - Spam Reporting hindered by Spam protection

Sounds good guys. I’ve been off-line the last couple of weeks, so I haven’t had a chance to test it out. Didn’t mean to sound like I was complaining. Just thought it funny that I couldn’t report the spam as fast it seemed to come in :D
