Upload large files

Hi, I upload to the site of large files. Textpattern tells me that the file size is larger than allowed by the program. Is there any solution to remedy the problem?

Re: Upload large files

By default textpattern limit the uplaod file to 2M, but you can change it to higher value and then the limitation will be the php upload limit (in my host the limit is about 8M, but you still have the possibilty to use your ftp to uplaod any files and then insert it into the textpattern db.

The route with English text is:

Admin -> Preferences -> Advanced -> Maximum file size of uploads (in bytes)

If the number you enter is larger than the PHP limit, it will be changed to show the PHP limit.

Re: Upload large files

Alternatively you can upload the file to the files folder using (s)ftp. Once the upload finishes the file will be listed in the Existing file pull down menu in Content>Files where you will be able to add its reference to your database.
