Link to Textpattern Solutions book in footer of textpattern.net
The textpatternsolutions.com site is down and has been for some months. I propose redirecting to one of the following links:
- the publisher: www.apress.com/9781590598320
- Amazon.com: www.amazon.com/Textpattern-Solutions-PHP-Based-Content-Management/dp/1590598326/
I’m sure there’re more links to the defunct site across .net and .com, but I can’t find them right now.

If Amazon.com is used maybe some affiliate dollars could be made to suppport the project?

The Japanese IIS 404 message has now been replaced with a more salient ‘Bad Request (Invalid Hostname)’ message.

Seems that TextDrive fixed their DNS. Their customer’s domains (that weren’t migrated) now resolve to their (main) server and that place holder page, rather than to old, lost IPs and/or servers/VPS. Well, prevents that 3rd-party from exploiting the domains.

Not all sites though! I know of some which still return time out errors

The textpatternsolutions.com domain was due to be renewed on September 20th, 2014 (yesterday). It looks like Rob, or a representative of his, renewed for another year at the 11th hour. I was hoping it’d expire, but alas not this time. I even had the domain drop date in my calendar. Sigh. I’ve emailed Rob about buying the domain off him, but never heard back. Sigh.
The site is still showing that Japanese IIS error message and Wayback Machine*/http://textpatternsolutions.com is patchy at best.
