How can I check who is visiting the login page?
According to our stats software we had a big wave of hackers in the past few days trying their scripting tricks. We think that all their efforts failed as the diagnostics and the sites seem fine.
What we can not tell is if anyone who landed in the login page and what they have tried there.
Any suggestions on how slimstat or any other stats program can list those hits?
I think that the information we can collect would eventually help the security features of txp.

I used Scalp and I’ve heard good things about Lorg neither were an exact match for what you want, and I don’t believe you can scoop the POST
request details from a log file.
Edit: also, mod_evasive might be worth a look for the future.

I think the server logs would be your best bet. Maybe your web host can help you ?
