The parse_ini_file function is disabled on my server, is it a must?

Hi I checked the The following PHP functions… are disabled post in the faq and it mentioned there that the parse_ini_file is being used by Textpattern.
Now unfortunately I’m setting a site on another Israeli shitty server that this function is disabled there.
(don’t you ever use an Israeli server they are all sucks)
Is this function is a must one? I do see English and everything seems to work fine, but still feel the need to ask to be sure.

(I can almost feel the “Database unavailable” error message showing up really soon, that’s how it always with Israeli servers LOL)

Yes. Textpattern uses the function to parse its transliteration table files. If not available, URL transliteration will not take place and article/section/category publishing should halt in FATAL error due to call to a undefined function.

Thanks Jukka!
Now I got a reason why to move to an other server or somehow make the company to enable this function for me.
