Can't tell if comment form works

I have a blog that has been up for a few months, but I have never received a single comment, not even spam. When I try leaving a comment myself, it works fine. In my 404 log, I see:

/articles/how-do-the-roots-of-a-polynomial-depend-on-the-coefficients+%22Enter+your+comment+below%22+%22Your+comment%22+eldest&ct=clnk
/articles/how-do-the-roots-of-a-polynomial-depend-on-the-coefficients+%22Enter+your+comment+below%22+%22Your+comment%22+singe&ct=clnk
/articles/surveying-for-a-voter-proposition+%22Enter+your+comment+below%22+%22Your+comment%22+voting&ct=clnk
/articles/surveying-for-a-voter-proposition+%22Enter+your+comment+below%22+%22Your+comment%22+roughly&ct=clnk

and so on. Are these bad page requests from broken spambots or are they from broken Textpattern code? The comment form is supposed to be taken directly from the default Textpattern template, but I might have unintentionally altered it.

Re: Can't tell if comment form works

Have you received my comment? (If so: Feel free to delete it.)

Just an assumption: Although there’s a “cpreview” ID in your source and the preview page has that ID at the end of the URL, this spot (and its preview note) isn’t skipped to, instead the very top of the preview page is displayed. Might it be possible that your commenters never pushed the “Submit” button, but thought they submitted by pushing “Preview”?

Re: Can't tell if comment form works

Your comment worked fine. Thanks! So assuming it all works like it is supposed to, should I assume that the 404’s are spambots gone wrong?

ps…I dug through the logs. All the errors come from 192.69.90.198 (VolumeDrive, USA) and 222.242.72.188 (China Telecom). Spambots is the answer.
