Problem multiple index pages
Two years ago I posted a question, I have found yesterday: I was searching a solution to get a 403 error page displayed, or to prevent search engine to index the matching pages, automatically generated.
Those pages displayed content similar to articles of the same section.
This was my antecedent post: http://forum.textpattern.com/viewtopic.php?pid=237653#p237653
At that time I didn’t understand the solution by Els.
Yesterday I could understand it and get the solution.
— But not all of the problem is over. —
I have some multiple pages more, because in my web-site I have tree sections (templates) for each thematic channel. I use these pages to format three group of articles. Then I’ve linked (grouped) them in channel-pages index.php, of specific ‘index’ sections.
All according to a scheme like this:
(1) /channel1-articletype1/ → many articles
(2) /channel1-articletype2/ → many articles
(3) /channel1-article-index/ —> this section contains only a index.php page listing articles coming from (1) and (2) (type1 + type2)
The section-pages 1, 2 and 3 of each channel don’t display anything from the directory tree, because of my setting of a 403 error page (and this thanks to the solution obtained to my old question) but
I still have a index.php for each of the page above. The index.php page from the group ‘(3)’ is useful to me (as i told above) as index page to list all the articles utilizing the template of the sections ‘(1)’ and ‘(2)’ of the matching channel; but not the same occurs with index.php pages automatically generated from all the sections of the groups ‘(1)’ and ‘(2)’.
The question: How can I prevent the index.php pages from the sections ‘(1)’ and ‘(2)’ be automatically generated (with ‘casual content’; and then indexed by the search engines)?
Thanks for paying attention to this complex question.
