How to display the name of the person who last modified an article

Is this the best(only?) way to display the name of the person who last modified an article (as opposed to the original author?)

Or is there an nice simple tag (core or plugin) that makes this easier?

I’ve made a small plugin that does this, for use on some of the Textpattern sites I run. I’ve not made any of my plugins public before (they’re not anything special, just some I’ve made in the course of my work) but if you’d like to make use of it I’ve made it available to download.
