site going away: my new Shortwave radio listening site

Well, my impressions of various sites and radio stations. And my new Grundig S450DLX multi-band radio. I’ve had two listening sessions today. I put times, KHz, and what I heard. I’ll add the usual menu system I have on my other sites.

I have a number of links on this site. And some international radio stations have cut back on broadcasts and gone to streaming via the web. Or cut out their English language broadcasts as Radio Netherlands has done due to budget cuts. Or stopped broadcasts via shortwave radio to North America as the BBC has done.

“Jim’s SWLing site” (site is gone, link removed. -Els)

Since the restrictions on my cwahi site make it hard to use textpattern, I’ll be removing this site from the free host. Thanks for viewing.

Some problem with the links both the menus and textpattern. I’ve let the web host know. I shouldn’t be getting 404s.

Hi Jim,

the server you have your site hosted has a terrible reputation and your subdomain inherits it. I would consider migrating.

It has that reputaton due to the number of warez scum accounts they delete daily. I’ve looked at wot before, I don’t trust their ratings.

Re: site going away: my new Shortwave radio listening site

I haven’t had any problems with my sites on cwahi.net and I’ve been there for years. Looks like textpattern won’t work with the restrictions in php, due to various people who cannot stop from trying to harm the servers, so I’ll be deleting my textpattern site at cwahi.net. I do have several textpattern sites on my paid domain, no php restrictions, and they work fine. Also, the cwahi.net host has restrictions on .htaccess

Hi Jim, I won’t delete your thread because your remarks can be of use to others some time. But I will move it to the archive.

Okay, but the site is gone. And I wasn’t trying to be too grouchy… but I simply don’t trust wot due to my personal experiences at cwahi.

Don’t worry, both your and colak’s comments can be useful for others. And I removed the link in your first post.
