[SOLVED] tranfer a large textpattern table

I am migrating to TXD. All went fine except in the neme.org site. The first issue I am trying to resolve is how to transfer a large textpattern table at 21.3Mbs. When I gzip it the table stops at 7.8Mbs and leaves some of the content out. On bziping it makes the file 2.9Mbs but I get the following error in phpMyadmin: “You attempted to load file with unsupported compression (application/bzip2). Either support for it is not implemented or disabled by your configuration.”

Any suggestion that an idiot like me could implement would be appreciated.

Hi Yiannis

Is the phpmyadmin destination support zip? if yes try to zip your table!
have you a shell access to your new domaine?

I have no idea re shell access. Zip creates a file which stops at 7.8Mbs:(

Re: [SOLVED] tranfer a large textpattern table

Yiannis, in phpmyadmin you can export chunks of the textpattern table when you select it the table in the left hand frame first. After clicking the Export tab, then there’s the following line in the main frame:

Dump [_n_] row(s) starting at record # [_n_]

Hope that helps.

Great! You’re welcome! I never had to use that but it seemed like a simple, viable, solution. And the timeframe you finished it in would witness that. Mentally bookmarked ;)
