How do I temporarily hide code?

Hello
I am looking for some guidance, tutoring. I have just started using TXP and have a couple of questions.
Is there anyway to “hide code” from being used and then later down the road open code up for use again?
Please help if you can

Re: How do I temporarily hide code?

Hi Ken, welcome to Textpattern! First of all, I will move your post to the appropriate forum :)

Edit: OK, done :) You can ask all you want in this forum.

To answer your question: you can wrap the code you want to hide in <txp:hide>...</txp:hide> tags. Whenever you want to use the hidden code again, all you have to do is remove these tags.

Re: How do I temporarily hide code?

Hello, I wanted to hide some code to use at a later time using <txp:hide>, but the whole page disappears. I only wanted to hide some dots on the page.
Can you Help? I would be glad to talk to someone on a one to one basis if this is ok.
Thanks
Ken

Re: How do I temporarily hide code?

Hi Ken,

please post the code that you have added the hide tags to, i.e. with these tags. Might be the way you used them, might as well be a lacking apostrophe or slash or opening/closing bracket.
