Diagnostic Error:Old placeholder file is in the way
Old placeholder file is in the way: /home/gran2553/public_html/store. I opened to understand further the problem(as of Textpattern version 4.0, section placeholder files are no longer required, and will conflict with the new .htaccess scheme. Please delete them.) I build a storefront on sub-domain and set up a section called ‘store’ and placed into menu bar. The link works fine but I want to correct issue to resolve this. Do I have to delete ‘section’ thereby removing from the menu ‘STORE’? How would someone then link to the store. Could someone aid me? Sorry if this appears trivial but I need help with this! I did search forum but didn’t find a clear answer. Thanks in advance.
Grant

Re: Diagnostic Error:Old placeholder file is in the way
You can’t have sections with the same name as subdirectories (I assume your subdomain is actually a directory?). If you want to link to a subdirectory outside of Textpattern, you can’t do that with Txp tags. Just create the link manually.
Either that or you can rename the section (e.g. ‘shop’, ‘our-store’), and keep the section title (Store). Then redirect yoursite.com/shop/ to your subdomain in .htaccess.

And what to do if I want a section ‘Images’ … also put in a menu? Clicking on it gives the same error: “As of Textpattern version 4.0, section placeholder files are no longer required, and will conflict with the new .htaccess scheme. Please delete them.”
