Custom Field Characters
Group:
I am using Gerhrad’s custom field plug in. Have done so with most of my projects and do not believe that this is the issue but wanted full disclosure.
I am trying to store a hyperlink (the first part) in the field. Unfortunately, it is doing the following:
It takes this: <a href="http://www.yahoo.com">
and changes it to: <a href="http://www.yahoo.com">
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you mean it’s displaying the encoded characters when you output the value using <txp:custom_field />
then you need to add the escape=""
attribute.
The smd plugin menagerie — for when you need one more gribble of power from Textpattern. Bleeding-edge code available on GitHub.

Bloke:
That is what I mean — now I feel really dumb —- if I had taken a minute to review the custom field attributed before posting — thanks for the quick response —-
Hope all is well on your side of the pond.
