Passwords Cock Up

Hi,

I started developing a site a few weeks ago on a local machine, and unfortunately have lost my password for the textpattern log in! Any ideas on how to recover it? I’ve tried the recovery function but I don’t receive an email, I assume because it’s installed on my local computer. I can access the whole database via phpMyAdmin, so I’ve had a few ideas;

- Editing the password entry with an already encrypted password that I know, which I could then use to log in?
- Somehow getting the email function to work so I can reset the password in the normal manner.
- Creating a new Textpattern install and then copying everything I’ve done, cell by cell into the new database.

Thoughts?

Many thanks!

Hi

In the FAQ check “Help, I forgot my password!”

Fantastic, this worked! Probably should have looked at these areas first, my apologies for wasting your time.
