Two blogs on a same domain

I’ve read some post telling about some difficulties in setting more textpattern blogs on a same domain, but i think my case is something different:

My first blog is placed in a subdirectory:

/directory1/directory2/index.php

Now I want to place another blog in a different subdirectory:

/directory1/directory3/index.php

Could I meet any problem acting this way with 2 bogs on a same domain in Textpattern?

In the case it works, if I put links from one blog to the other can I have problems in each blog logs?

Re: Two blogs on a same domain

Done; it works but, of course, they are not integrated each other. :-(

Really what I need is to have two blogs connected to different databases to prevent they slow when articles are too much.

Re: Two blogs on a same domain

directory3

  1. Can be another TXP section (optionally with a totally different different design and output)
  2. Can contain anything you want (but better shouldn’t be a TXP section)

Really what I need is to have two blogs connected to different databases to prevent they slow when articles are too much.

TXP doesn’t slow down just because of the number of articles.

Re: Two blogs on a same domain

I have several sub-domains on my domain. I just put them in a separate folder. I have a different Mysql database for each one. I haven’t noticed any problems.
