Do I need to upgrade?

I’m running an old version 4.0.4. My host has informed me that they are upgrading to PHP5. Will my website break?

You should upgrade as soon as possible. v4.0.4 is really old release, and is effected by known security vulnerabilities that has been since then patched in later updates.

Not exactly. If the version is above 5.3 you will get a lot of notices of deprecated features, Textile won’t work correctly even on earlier versions of 5.x and TXP won’t be able to create thumbnails for jpg image format.

Also, your site is vulnerable to attacks, including XSS, remote code execution, SQL injections and CSFR.
