[SOLVED] Replacing files failed
Hi there,
I just tried to replace a file which I uploaded via the file tab – but it doesn’t work.
The initial/first upload of a file (and later the download from the backend (and from the frontend/website via <txp:file_download_link>
) works fine. But I wanted to replace this file (another file, another name, same/another file-format…), chose it with “replace file” in the file-menu (where you can see the file-status, the description, the time stamp…) – the message is that the “replacing” upload was successful, but neither the file-name changed nor the file itself – it still remains the old one.
Any ideas?
Textpattern-Version: 4.4.0 (r3514)
MySQL: 5.1.56
PHP-Version: 5.2.17
CMOD for file-folder: 750
Thanks in advance!
David
UPDATE: Just found the info
The file is replaced, the name isn’t (my fault, just watched the URL-Info in the browser, not the download itself). Sorry, please forget my mentions above :-)

Re: [SOLVED] Replacing files failed
I suspect it’s done this way, so that you won’t break all links to the file if the name changed.
