Exporting/Importing articles

is there any way of doing this (exporting/importing from one txp installation to antoher) other than the direct MYSQL route?
I’m having database/encoding issues and wonder if a “front end” export could be a solution

Re: Exporting/Importing articles

Hi Kemi

when exporting from mysql it s possible to make a CVS export and there is a plugin that make a cvs import maybe that can help you (jmd_cvs : if you want to make an html import i make a modification to the plugin to handle that, look at the forum thread of the plugin)

Cheers

If that doesn’t work, there are a couple of tutorials floating around the web that allow you to publish in one Txp install and share it with another. (Unfortunately where they are escapes me at the moment). Alternately, you could use rss or atom feeds and something like asv_tumblelog to import them into your new Txp install.
