Re: Just Write about TXP: win an iPod Touch

Thank you very much Daniel. That’s a sweet-looking site too.

All

I was going to post today to remind everyone that there’s only a few days left to get your entries in. Even if you’re not fussed about the iPod (I think I must be the only person in the galaxy without one), please consider writing something anyway and posting a link here.

Doesn’t have to be as elaborate as Stuart’s; a piece like Daniel’s is perfect, or just a short anecdote about a time when a client loved a particular feature or it allowed you to build a facet of a site you’re proud of. Tweet if you’re terse enough to complete the sentence “I love TXP because…” in 140 chars. Anything at all.

Why? You get a link from here, textpattern.com gets a link back: it’s all good. And one of the recurring themes we hear from veterans is the notion of “heard about Textpattern — can’t remember how I found it — and have rarely looked back”. Word of mouth at work. So let’s make it more likely for people to find us with some good old Reciprocal Affection…

Thanks!

Re: Just Write about TXP: win an iPod Touch

here’s my post.

thanks for this sweet opportunity (fyi, this new mom-to-be would absolutely love an ipod touch considering the ipod i have currently is ohhh about five! years old.) …. but more than anything thanks devs for making and supporting textpattern. i’m going on seven years now of using it and it’s the absolute best.

;)

andrea, I’m having a bit of trouble with the speling of Textpattern in your post’s title ;) Might want to add another “t”?

Re: Just Write about TXP: win an iPod Touch

Okay, my entry and a chance to point out that today pretty much marks Seven Years of Textpattern.

And not that I think it is winning material, but I formally withdraw from the competition. I am very happy with my 6th gen Nano.

You can also consider part of the soft relaunch of CMS Styles, my long-fallow site. I had hoped to get some more work done on it before my self-imposed deadline but it didn’t work out. I have been really intrigued by the things that Stuart has been doing with his templates and there are so many freely-licensed quality ones out there, I am sure it won’t be a question of whether I can find any to convert, but which ones I can get to.

Mrs. Dennis, Meet Textpattern

On behalf of my wife — her post at our personal blog about switching to Txp for her classroom website.

(cough, cough – sadly, our personal site is the last to get any loving. Definitely needs some sprucing up)

Am I too late? TXP is my Gibson SG is possibly the most erroneously named article in blogdom.

Re: Just Write about TXP: win an iPod Touch

Very nice, Mr. Dale

Probably another typo? (Apparently celar is a real word. Just doesn’t quite fit the context)

Textpattern immediately appealed to me for one key reason; a celar line between content/presentation.

Re: Just Write about TXP: win an iPod Touch

Thanks for all the entries. The closing date has now passed and we’ll be announcing the winner in due course.

Just because the contest has ended doesn’t mean the writing can cease :-) We love to read about how people are using TXP in their projects so anything cool you have to say about it increases your karma-phala and makes us feel all warm and fluffy inside too. Thanks again.
