Subscribe – verification – autoresponse – registration

Hi@ all,

This question is about the following 4 topics:
Subscribe – verification – autoresponse – registration

I’d like to do introduce a thing or two, to our website.
Currently we’ve got a news page on our website, and visitors can subscribe to the newsletters using a simple form.
This form forwards the visitors emailadres to me and I add it then to my mailing list in Outlook.
This way I can forward the new newsletters directly to them by mail.
If possible I’d like to make things a little more sofisticated.
At the moment I get a lot of response, but some visitors enter an emailadres that ‘s not correct.

Q1: You can see me comming, is it possible to create a form that checks if a given emailadres is valid?

Q2: related to Q1, how can I create an automated email response/verification system?

Same intention as above, verify if an email adres is correct. The automated response mail should have a link to confirm that the given emailadres is valid AND a link to unscribe from the newsletter. If the confirmation link is clicked, then the visitor should be added to the mailinglist. If the unsubscribe link is clicked, then the visitor should be scratched from the mailinglist. To make matters a bit more interesting, I’d like all this to work automaticly.

Q3: extending the project: if the first two issues are resolved, then we’d like to introduce an automated email response to subscribed and verified users, IF a newsletter is added to the newspage. So if the newspage is updated the subribed visitors should automaticly get a mail with a link to the latest newsletter. How to do that?

In a later stage we’d like to add pages to our website for certain visitors only.

Q4: How do you create a registration system on your website? It should be possible to add visitor rights to registered members. So we can decide who gets to see what. Simple intention, but how do you do it.

So far I’m only experienced with HTML, but our webhost also supports PHP and MYSQL and EMAIL . If possible I’d like to do as much of the above in HTML, if PHP or MYSQL or something else is required, then I’ll need a bit of a detailed walkthrough on the configuration of the database, server,…
I know it’s a lot, but any help would be greatly appreaciated. If you know a good script, tutorial, book,… for doing one of those things, then you would help me a lot, if you could let me know where to find them.

Hoping to get some help soon, I greet you all,

Kind regards,
One-S
