duplicate sub-categories ?

Not certain where to put this.

On my drive-in web site I have had a bit of a problem.

If I want to create a category for Texas, Paris and Arkansas, Paris. It wont take it. Says Paris already exists after i did the first one.

So I had to make one of them Paris_2

Is there a way to make all of them Paris and not have to add a number ?

Or is this a textpattern category problem ?

Thanks.

Jim, not a problem, by design. You just can’t have two categories with exact same name. The title can be whatever, but the name can not. The name is suposed to be a unique filter and a key.

So, you can name the title to Paris but the name must be something else like paris-tx and paris-ar.

Re: duplicate sub-categories ?

I guess my puzzle comes from other systems that see paris as a sub-category of one, and I can name paris again as a sub-category of another category and not have them conflict.

No problem, I’ll adjust what I do.
