4.2 Upgrade woes

Hi all,

I’m in desperate need of help here. I upgraded a site from 4.06 to 4.2, and now the site looks like garbage. The styling is wrong, the menus are wrong…lots of things! The upgrade, technically, went smoothly, but the site is a mess at the moment. Any suggestions on where to start with getting things fixed? Were there changes from 4.06 to .07/.08 that I missed that could be causing these issues?

Any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Re: 4.2 Upgrade woes

If you are upgrading rather than installing fresh, the new CSS file described in this thread can cause confusion.

Re: 4.2 Upgrade woes

OK. I think I got it. The code I was using for my navigation menus wasn’t up to txp standards anymore, so my ul wasn’t being closed properly, thus the wrong styles being displayed throughout the rest of the page. I fixed that and then upgraded all of my plug-ins, and now I think I’m back in business. Phew! That was pretty scary there for a few hours.

Thanks for your help!
