trying to use TXP with Dropbox
dealing with the frustration of wanting to work on my sites locally but also switching computers often, i found out that xampp can be installed in places like thumbdrives. so i put it on my dropbox. so far it looks pretty good, except i have to change the location in config.php every time i move computers.
so then i realized i can map my dropbox to a network drive to get around this. but i found out that you have to share the folder first before it can be mapped. does anyone know if you can map a folder to a drive letter, but still make it unaccessible if you go on a public wi-fi network? thanks
