marketing db
Hello,
I am Txp beginner and wanted to know if it is possible to develop a marketing database in txp and how long it would take.
The features:
Password Authentification(every user get their own password) but these users shouldn’t be allowed to enter the backend (so maybe with ign_password)
set permission for categories or sections or maybe even articles
admins are allowed to upload files in different categories, users can download them, file download list with thumbnail generation would be good.
for example if you upload an image, you get a page with thumbs and little info of the images of a category. On click you get a bigger preview, download link and more infos. generated links to images with the same keywords or attributes are also recommended.
I was also thinking about using Wikis like Mediawiki or Tikiwiki, but i don’t want to start with another new system.
Maybe there is a out-of the box solution, like knowledge tree oder something like groupware. but still i haven’t found what suits best for us.
It should be also fully customizable, so the layout shouldn’t look like windows explorer, you know what i mean,

ing password it is but you will still need to enter the back end. You may give registered users no privileges so it will be safe enough.

Check out rvm_privileged

no problem here
users can download them,
rvm_privileged again

It can be done but that is up to your designing skills.
