[request] A Textpattern Plugin Equivalent to CFormsII?
Hi,
I am doing some research trying to find an open source CMS for my company. I have some Wordpress and ModX experience and I keep going back to Wordpress because of one plugin, CFormsII. http://www.deliciousdays.com/cforms-plugin I would love to try out TXP, but if I can’t find anything close to CFormsII it is a deal-breaker for me :( I have seen the site for zem_contact_reborn but it doesn’t have the functionality CFormsII.
Does anyone know of a contact form plugin that comes close to this?
Thanks in advance for any help!
Robin

What features do you need? CFormsII seems to be a victim of feature bloat, so you need to be more specific.

Re: [request] A Textpattern Plugin Equivalent to CFormsII?
JM, thanks for replying. This is more specific:
1. Validation of field data – to help with email entries and malicious script
2. Database-tracked entries that can be viewed in backend – we have one person who fields contact requests and forwards them on to the appropriate office. The user gets a ticket number for the submitted request. Sometimes our person has to look up items in the tracker for reference. Would prefer to be able to export in XML or TAB format
3. Multi-page or part forms – We have projects that require the building of forms that have steps, like a wizard. Example: Fill out page 3 and click continue button to go to page 4 or step back to page 2 because you forgot something
4. File attachment uploads – allow attachment uploads and the ability to impose size limitations.
5. Date picking – some of our forms require the selecting of date ranges
6. Role Management – assign certain privileges to internal users
These would be the top things. It may seem like the kitchen sink but I get so many requests for various form functionality.
Thanks again for any tips.

Hi Rob
Me too, I would like to do some Textpattern projects, but the features you and I want, are found in WordPress and Drupal.
Would be nice if Textpattern had kept its momentum back in 2007 or so… But it got hijacked by some really lame geeks, who really knew how to kill a project. (not referring to the current developers, who are some really nice guys).
