Textgarden V2 Goes Live

A new week and a new design for Textgarden. I’ve been playing with the site for 2 or 3 weeks now and hopefully it all works OK. If not just YELL at me.

If you use IE6 or IE7 it should work fine but you will be missing a couple of little details. Why don’t you upgrade to IE8 or try something completely different?

Now I’m hoping that I have all the admin themes collected together but for those of you who decide to design something in the future could you please let me have the download file to go onto Textgarden, then for your own article about your lovely new admin theme please use the download link from Textgarden. That way all download totals will be accurate and should you happen to retreat to a Buddhist monastery sometime in the future your theme will still be available for everyone to enjoy.

At some point when I get the time I would like the same thing to happen for all the “front-of-site” themes as well.

Re: Textgarden V2 Goes Live

Looks very nice, Stuart. Much easier to find stuff now and it all seems to work tickety boo for me. Top job.

EDIT: fancy adding a link to the 1st post ;-)

Re: Textgarden V2 Goes Live

Stuart, I think Stef means it would be good to add a link to textgarden in your post.

edit: BTW: nice job!

Re: Textgarden V2 Goes Live

Really really cool! Great job, Stuart! I look forward to txp.com! :)

In the weblog page, what seems like 3 cut off excerpts I think is intentional to have equal column heights, right?

Re: Textgarden V2 Goes Live

Yep. Just cut you off in mid-stream. I was debating using a plugin set to a word or character count but the problem is that you can’t account for how many lines the title may take unto itself so I’ve just applied a simple box height. ;)
