Problem with uploading Images
Hey all,
the uploading of Images doesn’t work for me,
but i don’t know why, cause i dont get any Alert Message.
All the Directories (tmp, images and files) are on 755.
File uploading work and storing the Image in tmp also but after I click away it’s gone…
What could be wrong?
Oh and is it normal tha I can’t upload anything via FTP ?
Btw I’m hosting on freehostia.com.

txp does not affect ftp so it is not normal at all. It might be a server problem. this might also be the cause of the problem with uploading via txp.

Check what it says under admin > diagnostics. On my host it only works if the images and files directories are chmodded to 777 (there have been long discussion in the past on the rights and wrongs of this but for me it doesn’t work with any other setting).
As Yiannis said, txp doesn’t affect ftp in any way, but to be clear if you upload an image via ftp it doesn’t automatically show in txp’s image pane. For that you need to use one of the image import plugins.
