Problems Uploading from Localhost to Remote Server

Hi

I’ve just finished building a Textpattern site on localhost and am having difficulties transferring it to a remote server. I just keep getting “database unavailable”. I presume there must be something wrong in my preferences or mysql settings somewhere though I can’t fathom it. Is there a decent guide anywhere on how to transfer a Textpattern site from a local machine, with a list of all the file-paths and config files that might need to be changed etc?
