dot com or dot fr
The .com I want is taken, but the .fr is available. The site will be in English and the target punters are English people in France, my question is will my site show up as normal in google.com or will Google stick it in google.fr?
Anyone have the experience or knowledge that can help me?
Thanks a lot
Lee

For what it’s worth, I have a few .it domains and the only thing I can point out is that in Google Webmaster Tools, the system says:
Your site’s domain is currently associated with the target: Italy

If the content is in English, it will be found by using English search words. Also, every site “can” be found via global Google landing pages (but results are lower in the index). But still the domain can (read: will) make a difference, as the domain is ccTLD.
In your case, it’s probably best to get a gTLD, or even better, (really not nessassery) both variations of the domain, wheres the other is set to redirect to the other (example.fr to example.tld).
