Sitegrinder2/ textpattern/ photogalleries?
I know, I know, it’s all about the code to some of you, but for others (like photographers like myself) it’s all about the visuals. While I’m discovering the steep learning curve of code and slowly understanding more and more (those buggy templates really help for that), can I use Sitegrinder2 to generate CSS pages for my site or am I barking up the wrong tree? My problem so far has been that all the canned templates seem very much geared towards blogging and there doesn’t seem to be a decent artists portfolio type template to be found (only two photoblog templates to be found anywhere and one is out of commission with newest TXP install!). Also I am not sure if I can build galleries in Lightroom and then export them to my TXP site with the idea of having a section which would require individually assigned passwords to get into a gallery so my clients can choose prints from their personal shoots without them being available for all to view. Suggestions, comments? Don’t tell me, learn to walk before you run, just can’t help it lol.

Wireframing: Show TXP forum users your Sitegrider2 generated content and they can likely offer some advice on how to merge it with the TXP tagging system. Maybe you could post those pages to your server and offer the URL.
TXP: Consider the two available themes from TXP and choose the one that has more of the functionality you need.
Design: Modify the template you chose using your Sitegrinder design.

All through the process ask for help in the forums.
You’ll need to familiarize yourself with the code somewhat as you begin to discuss issues in the forum.
Also, you can hire a TXP guru for an hour here and there if you get stuck in an area that forum posters can’t or won’t help you solve.
Hope that helps.
