[request] WYSIWYG Editors

Anyone make a plugin out of any of these?

http://www.webdesignbooth.com/15-really-useful-web-based-html-editors/

This looks like a good one…

It would be good to have a light weight alternative to tinymce

Re: [request] WYSIWYG Editors

hmm. i’d give it a shot but looks like that specific editor uses a ton of <span> inline styles? (according to the user complaint updates)

edit: ok made a quick txp plugin for it.

cross browser compatibility seems to be all over the place though. according to their forum area, this thing seems to create different code depending on what browser you’re using. for example a firefox user attempting to bold something will get ‘<b>’ tags while an IE user will get “style=“font-weight: bold;”

Re: [request] WYSIWYG Editors

Thanks, Steve!
It looks damn promising. Like the exact balance between what you want to burden your client and what you dare them to do.
It’s just: it eats existing tags and prints out the new ones literally. F…!

Is it possible to make the plugin’s application dependent on the user privilege? Would be the ideal solution for the unskilled ones.
