[textile] disable the code feature of textile?

we just made a blog post about twitter, and since there’s a lot of “AT” symbols being used, the article gets formatted weird. for starters the “AT” symbols are removed, and the font is different(as expected). what’s a good way to disable this?

You probably want to use == for inline @‘s:

Blah blah blah ==@twitter== blah blah blah.

Blah blah blah ==@twitter== blah blah blah.

and

Blah blah blah @twitter blah blah blah.

both end up

<p>Blah blah blah @twitter blah blah blah.</p>

after textile. I don’t understand the problem. Maybe a sample of the text would help.

Re: [textile] disable the code feature of textile?

Matt, Elliot may have something here

Textpattern is used by @photographdaddy and @desandro but not @drupal or @wordpress

returns:

Textpattern is used by photographdaddy and desandro but not drupal or wordpress

<p> Textpattern is used by <code>photographdaddy and </code> desandro but not <code>drupal or </code> wordpress </p>

Oddly enough, Dean’s Textile Editor has no problem parsing that sentence.

It’s just old version of Textile. Textpattern includes much newer up-to-date library.

Testing Textile with Textism’s editor doesn’t really tell you how it would act on Textpattern. It just tells how some old version of Textiles worked years ago.
