Textpattern on WAMP

Hello,

I’ve a rank beginner and need some help. I’ve installed WAMP on my PC for local use only. I’ve also installed Textpattern using TrtoiseSVN. When I load /textpattern/setup I get the message “missing config.php. I don’t know how to solve this problem. Might someone direction me to information on installing textpattern on Wamp or otherwise help me solve this problem?

Hi pilotind

Here is the page in the textbook for installation. Chec k out the Manual Installs, Upgrades and Downgrades.

I am not familiar with WAMP as I am a mac user so MAMP is the software of choice for me:)

  1. You will need to create a database with phpmyadmin first.
  2. then you will need to go to /textpattern/setup/ and fill in the form. This will set up the tables for you
  3. copy and paste on the config file when prompted
  4. rename the file to config.php
  5. you are ready to go:)
