Different from when I learnt to know TXP in 2006 – where it was listed around rank 8-10, if at all – it’s now often to be found in such lists among the four topmost positions. Pretty cool that it finally gets the acknowledgement it deserves!
But what’s written about TXP? In the majority of cases no more than some text modules copied from textpattern.com. In such a list environment these modules create a situation like when you enter a stationer’s in order to buy new ball pens and the sales assistant wants to enlighten you about the advantages of writing.
OK, especially the passage “When it comes to publishing on the internet … the patience of a saint” is rarely adopted, but even the first line (… is a flexible, elegant and easy-to-use CMS) communicates very little of really valuable information about what makes TXP stand out. Here I really hope for the new version of textpattern.com to cover such compacted information to copy from.
