content in themes

Hello.
I’ve got some problems with a theme. The theme is made in html / css. I have been playing around with wordpress, and implemented it there. But when it comes to Txp, I really have some problems. Most likely it’s Txp I’ll use for my project, and need to work out this theme for TXP. Is it so simple, all I need to is replace “the values” with Txp-tags? And then cut off the header and footer -paste it into forms?
Have read most of tutorials and find this very confusing.
“if” and “else” tags, can it be compared to the if / else in php?

Wondering also if there is a good poll-plugin.

Thanks for all answers:)

Basically yes.

Yes. It’s like conditional statements in any programming or scripting language.
