Installation Issue

I’ve just upgraded from 4.07 to 4.08, login and see 4.08 at the bottom of the admin>preferences>language page the page I’m taken after logging in. The English Great Britain is highlighted in red and prompts me to “upgrade” but doesn’t after clicking “upgrade”. Nor can I get to the diagnostics page. Can you suggest where my fault lies? Thank you.

Re: Installation Issue

I read your last post

I know that when I’ve had files go missing on upload it’s been because I wasn’t using a “clean method”. Weird stuff like .htaccess missing, file permissions all at 000, etc…

You may have resolved that problem by now but if you did not try a fresh upload you may have some lingering problems.

I would try uploading a fresh TXP package if you haven’t already. What method are you using for uploading files to your server?

The problem you mentioned in this post has happened to me exactly as you describe it. Hopefully it’s not something weirder than what I experienced and you can nail it down with fresh clean files.

Re: Installation Issue

Thank you for your post. I use Filezilla for all my transfers. I went ahead and re-uploaded my .ht access file just to be sure it was there but that didn’t change anything. As far as the permissions shouldn’t that already be set from the 4.0.7 version? Interestingly enough, not only is the English – Great Britain not installed but English – United States is not installed as well nor will it allow me to install it.
