Tweetback plugin?

Has anybody found (or written) a Tweetback plugin for Textpattern?

The equivalent for WordPress: http://yoast.com/wordpress/tweetbacks/implementing-tweetbacks-wordpress-27/

I like the way this plugin is implemented better than the original Tweetback plugin available on another site.

Anyhow, the idea is to use Tweetbacks instead of Trackbacks, not only for spam avoidance reasons, but also because, well, it’s more efficient for social media marketing and carrying on concise dialogues between many people at the same time.

I understand PHP, but really, I have no fun when I try to write it from scratch myself. I can distinguish good code from bad code when I dive into it, but it’s really not my thing, and I’ve never written a Textpattern plugin (or a WordPress plugin either, for that matter), so I should probably leave it to somebody else.

Any ideas? Is something already available that I just haven’t been able to locate yet?
